London is to be the site of a Crocs flagship store. Crocs Inc (NASDAQ:CROX) is launching a new Crocs ‘concept store’ in Neal St, Covent Garden at the end of August 2007 and hopes to open around 5-7 more Crocs stores in key Cities in the UK in 2008 as well as stores in Europe but only if it can find the right location.

‘I don’t believe in opening a big store on Oxford Street or Regent Street. I prefer to be somewhere where the buzz is and let people find us,’ said Dick Wijsman CEO and managing director of Crocs Europe.

I have good news and bad news this week from LAMCS, who being the most popular Crocs supplier in the UK are a good barometer of what’s happening out there in Crocsland (more precisely what’s happening at Crocs EU headquarters in the Netherlands).

Okay the good news first. LAMCS has received a huge (8000 pairs) delivery of Crocs Caymans, both Adults Crocs Cayman and Kids Crocs Cayman. This means they are able to fill all those Crocs backorders AND crucially have a really good stock status online for Adult Crocs Caymans and in many of the popular sizes and colours are now in stock.

Now the bad news. LAMCS have temporary withdrawn their excellent pre-order facility due to “uncertainty in the Crocs supply chain”. To Dr Crocs that’s PR spin for Crocs Europe are big on the promises and short (make that very short) on delivery. I have heard this from other retailers. The knock on effect means LAMCS have temporary removed the new summer styles from their website as they have taken as many pre-orders as they can foreseeably fill.

Sassari went two weeks ago then Kids Caymans and now *all* the new Crocs flip flop styles are all gone from the website, albeit “temporarily”.

LAMCS hopes to reinstate these new style Crocs when they actually receive a physical shipment (and fulfill the pre-orders they already have). Their website states that is hopefully next week.

I’m glad to see that rather than risk disappointing their customers with uncertain delivery times, LAMCS have taken the bold step to remove the items temporarily. That’s gotta hurt when you are a retailer.

This should help a lot when you have to search multiple websites to find Crocs in the exact size and colour you need. Unfortunatley while there is a general Crocs shortage going on, affecting all retailers, the cheapest Crocs supplier might not have any in stock or have to put your order on back order for weeks.

I have spoken to several Crocs retailers this week and it seems that Crocs Europe in the Netherlands are just getting back on track with their supplies after a major warehouse move so hopefully over the next couple of months things will become much easier with Crocs supplies. If you can’t wait that long then you may have to look long and hard for Crocs in stock at this point and if necessary pay a little extra.

From what I can see (and I see a lot), no UK Crocs retailers have been tempted to jack up prices in the current climate. There are no rip-off Crocs sellers out there and the Internet market is still very competitive.

June 1st and after a week of downpours, the summer is in full flight once again. May has finally brought the new Crocs Sassari, Disney Cayman, Disney Beach, Cleo, Capri, Crete, Capri, Crocling, Ithaca, Sobek and Hydro to Europe and the UK. I predict these styles, led by the Crocs Sassari will all be selling like the proverbal hot cakes over the summer. As before the June Crocs Chart shows the 10 most popular Crocs styles on the Cheap Crocs website over the previous month.

The day has finally come!!! The new Crocs shoes styles that we have all be waiting for are now ready and in stock in the UK with a UK pound price and FREE DELIVERY.

Well if you are reading this, you must have some excellent fashion sense, and you’re certainly not alone.

In Heather Hopkins’ hitwise blog she writes that Crocs Shoes is the most searched fashion term this season.

UK searches for “crocs” have increased 8-fold in the past 3 months, and have taken the #1 spot as the most searched for fashion item… Consumers looking to update their summer wardrobe are turning to the web and Crocs have become the must-have fashion item for spring.

And I’m pleased to say that the Cheap Crocs website is slowly (very slowly) climbing up the google rankings since its launch in April. If you’re going to buy some Crocs its important not to pay over the odds don’t you think!

The Linzi shoes site has set up a new wesbite to sell their Crocs. www.myrubbershoes.com is the second UK supplier to stock Disney Crocs.

The Disney Beach are listed at £31 delivered (that’s not a great price), however Kids Disney Cayman for £25 delivered certainly is. The catch …… the sizes are very very limited so they will be snapped up very quickly no doubt. Anyway another encouraging sign that the new Spring / Summer styles are on their way.

Well it seems in the UK we have somehow skipped from winter and right into early summer. All good news for Crocs buyers.
