It’s been quite a while since I last posted on the Blog. I’ve been busy rolling out a whole host of website changes which should help visitors find what they are looking for. There’s a brand new more simplified look to the website.
The top men selection is divided into two parts. The top part shows the home page, plus also links to Footwear Discount Codes and my latest round up of hot deals from the web. Coming soon will be a trends selection bringing together the latest footwear trends and several footwear choices for each trend.
I’m now covering over 1,000 different footwear models and I’m adding around 2 new brands each month – the latest additions have been Etnies Trainers, Sugar Shoes and El Naturalista Footwear.
Also you’ll notice a flag selector linking both the US and UK footwear comparison websites. Both sites have the same clean look and features. It’s now easy to flip between the two.
The brand pages for some of the footwear brands were becoming unwieldy so I have split them up into separate sections. The best example of this is UGG Australia that I’ve now arrange over four separate pages so there’s one page each for UGG Sandals, UGG Shoes and UGG Slippers, one for Womens UGG Short and Tall Boots this also include a section on Mens UGG Boots, one for Kids UGG Boots and finally one for UGG Accessories.
For me, one of the most important functional changes has been to add guided navigation to the left hand side of footwear brand sections and price comparison pages. This shows you how many shoes are within each section and allows you to jump to that section.
Along with the guided navigation, there’s now a clear indication by icons and labels, which shoes are for men, which for women, kids and babies etc. These means if you land in the wrong section you can clearly identify that and navigate to where you want to go.
Finally I’ve simplified the price comparison tables. Now when there is a special promotion or voucher code required to get the deal, that is indicated with a * asterisk next to the price with the corresponding instructions in the right hand “Promotion” column.
I hope the changes I’ve made deliver a better browsing experience. There are some great deals on branded footwear out there and I’ll make sure I find them for you.
Happy Shopping
